Kanji LS Touch 3.6

Kanji LS Touch is an application designed to facilitate the learning of Japanese kanji through a unique touch interface. The app provides stroke order guidelines, enhancing the intuitive experience of drawing each kanji, alongside various features aimed at supporting the user’s kanji education.

Kanji Features:

• Access to a total of 5,000 kanji characters
• Kanji displayed in both system font and handwriting font
• 16 customizable kanji sets, including marked kanji, all kanji, and levels from grade 1-6 to Jōyō kanji (2010 version) and JLPT levels N1 to N5
• Ability to import, combine, or create custom kanji sets within the app
• Stroke order guidelines available for all kanji in both fonts
• Comprehensive readings (On and/or Kun) along with English and German meanings; 2,000 kanji also include French meanings
• Option to add or edit translations and mnemonics directly within the app
• Multiple selection methods for training:
  • All kanji from the current set
  • Custom selection via a kanji browser
  • Range selection (e.g., kanji 40 to kanji 60)

Compound Words:

• A collection of 9,000 sample words, each accompanied by readings and meanings in English and German, with French translations available for 7,000 of them

Testing Options:

• Five test types available:
  • Meaning --> Kanji
  • Kanji --> Meaning
  • Kanji --> Reading (On/Kun/Both)
  • Reading --> Kanji (On/Kun/Both)
  • Word --> Missing Kanji
• Two testing modes:
  • Direct Input (via drawing or keyboard)
  • Multiple Choice

Kanji Browser:

• A comprehensive list of all kanji in the current set
• Search functionality for specific kanji by character, meaning, or reading
• Dive into details of each kanji character
• Select specific kanji for targeted training sessions
• Easily navigate to particular kanji or radicals within the list

Additional Features:

• The ability to import custom kanji sets tailored to specific lessons from textbooks or personal study preferences
• Add personalized meanings for kanji to accommodate varying learning styles or unlisted languages (e.g., Russian, Italian)
• Create and export custom sets via email, functioning entirely offline with integrated kanji data storage
• The Leitner system (SRS) facilitates effective learning strategies
• Sensei Mode intelligently selects upcoming kanji based on user performance from previous tests
• A practice mode is available for honing drawing skills of the kanji characters
• Cross-device backup and synchronization through Dropbox support; user interface offered in English, French, and German localization
